How long does it take for you to start a job?
Generally anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months depending on how busy we are, as clients decide they want to work with us we take a deposit and they are put next in order on the waiting list.

Can you build pieces using photographs of existing objects as a guide?
Yes, from a photograph we often have enough information to custom build a piece.

Can you duplicate existing turnings and carvings to replace missing woodwork?
Yes, we have the equipment to duplicate most architectural woodwork details.

I need some custom carpentry done right away, can you help me?
Probably not. We have many clients that are waiting for work to be done, as a rule I never take a job where someone wants to rush and sacrifice the quality of the work.

We have an old radiator that we consider an eye sore but we need to keep it for heating purposes, will a custom built mantle make this radiator look better?
Absolutely yes. You can look at the photos on this site and see that a mantle can make a radiator into a beautiful architectural detail and give the feel of a fire place.

I live outside the greater Boston area, can I hire you to do some work in my home?
If the job you need will take a day or less to install we will travel within a 2 hour distance. For example; If you need a custom made hardwood screen door that will be installed on an existing jam this is no problem. If you need a mantle built and installed around a radiator and there are no complications in installing it, this is not a problem. Jobs that are more complicated are better dealt with by local craftsmen. We also can work with a local carpenter, if he gives us measurements and drawings we can custom make a door or mantle which can be delivered then installed by the local carpenter.

I have been woodworking since the mid eighties, and I started serving clients in Boston in 1988.

Are you licensed in Massachusetts?
Yes. I have a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's license and I can attain a building permit anywhere in the state. I also have a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor's license # 139575, by law anyone performing construction must have this license and it allows consumers to check on the history of contractors to avoid those with records of being a problem.

Can I call some of your clients to get ask about your work?
Yes, I can give some phone #'s upon request.

I have a small job repairing some holes in some walls, do you do handyman jobs like that?
Not really, we specialize in high end custom woodworking and clients will generally be happier with costs and speed if they hire a contractor specializing in that type of work.

Not really, we specialize in high end custom woodworking and clients will generally be happier with costs and speed if they hire a contractor specializing in that type of work.

Yes, I offer a one year guarantee on my labor and custom woodwork.
